EDWARD WOLANIN, POLAND

Edward Wolanin began his piano studies with Urszula Hop when he was 5 years old. He graduated from the secondary music school in Rzeszów (Krystyna Matheis-Domaszowska’s class). As the youngest student in the history of the Academy he began to study at the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw when he was 15. He studied with Professor Jan Ekier, Professor Bro­nisława Kawalla and Professor Marchwiński (in his chamber music class).  Fol­low­ing his grad­u­a­tion he con­tin­ued his stud­ies with Pro­fes­sor Jan Ekier as a post-graduate student.

SERGEY SCHEPKIN, USA

Sergey Schepkin, internationally renowned pianist and associate professor at the Carnegie Mellon School of Music, was recently honored with a special accolade.  Named to the exclusive list of Steinway Artists maintained by the legendary piano maker, he joins such notables as Sergey Rachmaninoff and Arthur Rubinstein.  Schepkin began his musical studies as a small child in St. Petersburg, Russia, and was quickly accepted into a highly competitive school for gifted young musicians.  He went on to study at the St. Petersburg Conservatory and the New England Conservatory in Boston.  He joined the Carnegie Mellon faculty in 2003.

Selected as a United States Artistic Ambassador, Ms. Weems represented the United States in three international concert tours, and presented a solo debut recital at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. DR. JAY HERSHBERGER, USA

Pianist Jay Hershberger has played throughout North America, Europe, and Asia. His domestic performances include the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and the Library of Congress. He has also been frequent guest artist at the Great Romantics Music Festival in Canada. In years past he performed in Europe, including the Amalfi Coast Music Festival in southern Italy and the South Bohemia Music Festival in the Czech Republic.
